This debut album from Killing Gandhi began to take shape in the spring of 2013. Cinematic Parallels is their version of the scandi metal sound, with inspiration from bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, and Soilwork, among others on the Heavy Metal scene, and Medina, Robyn and Daft Punk on the more commercial scene. This gives Killing Gandhi’s sound a good mixture of short, effective, and catchy songs.
The concept of Cinematic Parallels is a top 11 of Martin Arendal’s all-time favorite movies. The 11 movie titles then got renamed based on Martin’s interpretation of the film, and that title was based on the headline of each song, and lyrics were written with that title in mind. Therefore the title Cinematic Parallels.
The album is mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Pretty Maids, TÝR, Evergrey a.o).
